Founder and Board member, Centre for Public Problem Solving

Ashwin Mahesh is a founder of the social technology firm, Mapunity, and also a founder and Board member of the Centre for Public Problem Solving. Since 1998, he has also been the editor of the national public affairs magazine, India Together. His research and advocacy focus on the principle that in major urban centers, it is no longer possible nor advisable for government alone to plan, manage, and direct the future of the city. Instead, we must focus on increasing the number of problem solving people, who then become effective citizen- managers of their cities. To facilitate and demonstrate this, Mapunity is building an urban social network and city observatory platform for several cities in India and abroad.
