Parallel Panel: Veni, Vidi, Vici: Cultural Tourism in the Century of Cities

Cultural tourism has become a lynchpin in the economic life of our cities and cities compete to make the most compelling ‘offer’ to mobile, often fickle visitors. These offerings often take the shape of   historical and contemporary cultural assets, festivals, concerts and art fairs. What does success look like? How do we balance the needs of the local population and those of the visitor? What do those tourists really want?

This session will take place in Breakout Room A.

Moderated by Alan Chong.
